Al-Anon Family Groups are a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength and hope with one another, in order to solve their common problems and help others do the same.

Al-Anon Family Groups, which include Alateen, has been in existence for over 55 years as a community resource providing support to those affected by someone else's drinking. Today, there are over 24,500 Al-Anon and Alateen groups meeting in 135 countries. Our meetings are anonymous and confidential. There are no dues or fees for membership.

Fourty-four percent of Al-Anon members report that a professional has at some point encouraged them to attend their first Al-Anon meeting. Al-Anon and Alateen meetings are compatible with all types of counseling and medical treatment.
